About Rania

Hello! My name is Rania Robertson, and I’m the founder of Robertson Tutoring. With over four years of hands-on tutoring experience, I’ve had the privilege of supporting numerous children as they build confidence and achieve success in both mathematics and language studies. Throughout this journey, I’ve witnessed just how transformative one-on-one instruction can be—especially for students who may feel overlooked or discouraged in traditional classroom environments.

My inspiration for starting Robertson Tutoring came from personal experience. As a student, I often found the conventional school system challenging—not because I lacked the desire to learn, but because I struggled to thrive in settings that didn’t cater to individual needs. Over time, I realized I wasn’t alone. So many bright, capable students simply need a more personalized approach and someone who believes in their potential.

That realization became the foundation of our mission. At Robertson Tutoring, we are dedicated to creating a supportive, welcoming space where students can grow at their own pace, guided by skilled and compassionate educators. We believe every child deserves access to high-quality instruction tailored to their unique learning style, and we strive to make that a reality each day.

Today, I’m incredibly proud to see how Robertson Tutoring has grown—not just as a company, but as a community. It’s becoming the safe, empowering environment I once wished for, now serving both students and the talented tutors who make our work possible. We’re more than just a tutoring service; we’re a team committed to unlocking potential, one learner at a time.

Our Method

The Robertson Tutoring Method is centered around personalized support tailored to each student’s unique needs. From the very beginning, we take the time to understand every learner by asking thoughtful intake questions during the onboarding process. This allows us to gain insight into their academic background, goals, and any specific challenges they may be facing.

We then schedule an introductory session, where the tutor and student have the opportunity to get to know one another. During this session, the tutor assesses the student’s learning style, and the student becomes familiar with the tutor’s approach—laying the foundation for a strong and comfortable working relationship.

Following this session, we create a customized goals chart for each student. This plan is developed through collaborative discussion with the student (and their parents or guardians, when applicable), and is aligned with the appropriate Ontario curriculum standards. This ensures that our instruction remains both personalized and academically relevant.

Each lesson is thoughtfully planned in advance and includes a tailored lesson plan, which we share ahead of time so families know what to expect. All materials, resources, and activities are included in the session rate—there are no hidden fees or surprise costs.
